It all began in April 2009 with an invitation to perform at a local Blues festival. Noor Ali and Gazza Tee believed that if they pooled their musical resources together, they might just be able to produce a song-set that would convince the hardened fans that the two of them could actually “play the blues”. Whether it was down to pure luck or a stroke of pure genius(neither Gazza or Noor is actually going to let on which), the formula actually worked and Noor and Gazza left the festival with their limbs still in-place, beer money in their back pockets and their newly established musical collective blessed by the blues fans as Stompin’ on Spiders - a name that has stuck from that fateful day. |
